Since New City has been meeting at Mission Avenue Elementary, we’ve had several wonderful opportunities to be a light to the families that are connected to this school, but something’s been missing. We’ve been praying about tangible ways to be a light directly to this neighborhood, even for those who didn’t have a child at the school. God has graciously answered our prayer and now’s your chance to get involved! We’re partnering with Roadrunner Food Bank to help distribute food to hungry families in this neighborhood throughout the summer! We will need 12-15 volunteers to make this happen, beginning June 3 and continuing every other Monday morning through August 5. Please contact Tricia Noll at 980-5541 to volunteer or for more information.

New City loves to be generous. God was super generous to us and . . . well, we can’t help ourselves. We recently gave out gift cards to Walmart to everyone who attend one of our weekend services. These gift cards are to serve as a reminder to be generous.

If you have a story about how this card inspired you to be generous, take a second and write down your story in the comments below.  If you received a generous gift and you want to tell your story, we would love to read it in the comments.

9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9, ESV)

At New City most of our message series focus on a book of the Bible. However, during the Story series we are going take a look at the whole story of the Bible. Throughout the Bible, God’s telling us His story. He is showing us our story. He’s also drawing us near to Him to show us who we are and why we matter.

If you’d like to read along each week, we have a reading plan that you can follow using your Bible to read the passages that we will study each week. You can also pick up a free copy of The Story for your family at a Sunday morning service (while supplies last)!
